I love these fill-in-the-blanks memes and was thrilled to see that the “My Day in Books” one had started up again at Cornflower Books. I did it last year and had just as much fun with this year’s answers. As always, the task is to complete the sentences using the titles of books you have read this year. Here’s what I came up with:
I began the day by Loitering with Intent
before breakfasting on Pink Sugar
and admiring The Rose Garden.
On my way to work I saw Miss Bunting
and walked by The Dover Road
to avoid Introduction to Sally,
but I made sure to stop at Marling Hall.
In the office, my boss said, It’s Too Late Now,
and sent me to research Private Enterprise.
At lunch with Belinda
I noticed Miss Marlow at Play
greatly enjoying Unusual Uses for Olive Oil.
Then on the journey home, I contemplated The Element of Lavishness
because I have Wild Designs
and am drawn to The Gentle Art of Quilt-Making.
Settling down for the evening In the Mountains,
I studied The Wind in the Willows
before saying goodnight to The Home-Maker.
So, it’s useful as well as fun to read Angela T. 🙂 (Thanks – this was fun!)
It is! The benefits of reading Thirkell are never-ending. 😉
Spotted in google reader this morning and couldn’t resist – nice to do something fun for a change although not quite as easy as I thought it would be.
Fun, Might give it a try. Enjoyed yours. Pam
That’s great, Claire!
It’s harder than it looks. I made my attempt using vintage penguin books on my shelves but still enjoyed the exercise. Thanks for the motivation. Pam
My attempt is here:

Very fun!
Oh, I love these! I did it last year and had so much fun filling in the blanks. I love your breakfast of Pink Sugar 😉
I do love fill in the blanks memes – makes it all the more challenging to get the books I have read this year (well so far anyway) to fit!
Oh, how very nice! I love how you started your day….Stopping by from Tell Me A Story. I’ve done one too, if you’d like to visit: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2012/11/my-day-in-books.html
